It also didn't help his ego to have 5 humans laughing at him.
We are trying our luck and sent the photo through to the TV3 weather site - although I suspect the snow in Southland is more exciting.
This is his normal dignified self.
I'm glad you stopped by! I spent many years in my twenties travelling the world looking for greener pastures, and in the end I found them here - at the end of the world, in the green pastures of my home country, New Zealand. I'm married to my kiwi husband of 22 years and I have 4 kiwi kids. I have a day job I love as a medical receptionist, and I'm a part-time student of Sociology at Waikato University. I write from my home on one of those many New Zealand green pastures.

That's hilarious...but don't tell Bruce I'm laughing at his misfortune!
He looks like I felt today when I went for a walk with my oldest son. We get wind most of the time but today was very blustery.
I still pray for you, and that the aftershocks will not start up again. I appreciated the photos you took, I'm so sorry for all the damage especially to the historic buildings. Well, any damage is sad, really. Good for you to overcome your fear and have coffee with your husband in the city! May God continue to bring healing for you and your family, as well as your lovely city.
